Wendy Tidbold lives on her property, Hilltop Haven at Sheldon 30 kilometers south east of Brisbane where she operates her business Wendy’s Saddlery.

Wendy has been riding horses nearly all her life and has been competing in dressage and show jumping competitions. Being both a Saddler and an experienced equestrian rider gives Wendy an insight into her customer’s specific requirements.
Her customers come from all over Australia as well as New Zealand.

As a member of the network of Saddlers and Harness Makers Association of Australia, Wendy promotes quality Australian made products. The exchange of information between members of this Association helps Wendy keep up to date with evolving trends and saddlery techniques, including the use of new materials.
Master Saddlers Australia and United Kingdom
Apart from learning from the limited number of Master Saddlers in Australia, she had the opportunity to work under two Master saddlers in the UK at the Saddlery Training Centre in Salisbury. There she acquired the finer skills in the making of both Dressage and Side Saddles.
Wendy’s fully equipped workshop includes a range of both “light duty” and “heavy duty” sewing machines enabling her to handle both large and small customer orders. Top grade quality leather is sourced from both Australian and UK suppliers. Wendy takes great pride in her work and enjoys the reward of having many satisfied customers.
